Apprentice Plumber

Responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Technician in preparing material forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.

Follow instructions and directions of the Senior Technician in a timely and accurate manner. 

Ensure company property, vehicles and tools are being used, maintained and accounted for properly.

Act as a materials runner when so instructed by the Senior Installation Technician.

Assist in the installation, repairing, and maintenance of plumbing systems.

Periodic hand digging of shallow trenches for installation of pipe.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Repetitive motion involved on a daily basis may include, but not limited to bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing and squatting.

Requires bending, stooping, standing, balance, walk, twist and squat in order to access construction and equipment areas in order to complete construction/service tasks.

Must be able to stand from 6 to 8 hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)

Must be able to handle heavy objects such as ladders, tools, equipment and other items needed to perform job function.

Must be able to climb or balance regularly as this position will require using a ladder at times

Good visual and situational perception.

Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions.

Journeyman Plumber

Responsibilities:

Locating Leaks, Blockages, Corrosion, and Weather damage.

Installing, Maintaining and Repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.

Informing clients of all estimated costs before commencing work.

Installing appropriate pipes and fixtures to ensure adequate drainage.

Ensuring that structures are in Excellent working condition upon completion of each project.

Inspecting and Testing plumbing systems for safety functionality and code compliance.

Consulting with clients to identify and address any other concerns related to their water and or sewer.

Observing applicable health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of an appropriate, formal training program or apprenticeship.

Licensed to practice as a Journeyman Plumber in the state of Kentucky.

Familiarity with all relevant techniques and tools needed to perform your duties.

Exceptional physical fitness and hand-eye coordination.

Capacity to operate independently.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Outstanding customer service skills.

Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Ability to effectively communicate in the field and with office personnel.

Service Plumber

Responsibilities:

Handling customer queries and responding to call outs.

Handling a variety of plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally.

Installing/ Repairing pipes, drainage systems, fixtures.

Testing systems for leaks and other problems.

Obeying health and safety codes at all times.

Performing inspections and providing advice to homeowners.

Selecting the most cost-effective, quality products for installation and repair.

Communicating effectively with clients, especially when a job is taking longer than expected.

Being polite and respectful of clients and their homes at all times.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or similar.

2+ Years of experience as a plumber.

Sound knowledge of plumbing systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

A polite manner and excellent customer service skills.

Able to work extended daily work hours.

Ability to effectively communicate in the field and with office personnel.

Flexibility to work nights, Weekends, Holidays and On-Call.

Run sewer machines/unstop sewers.
